Hello! I’m Samantha Sader (rhymes with illustrator). I have always loved drawing, painting, and storytelling. I have a master’s degree in Wildlife Biology. I am a science tutor, toddler mom, and writer/illustrator. You’ll likely notice that my illustrations and books (pre-published) lean towards nature and science topics. I have researched many species: Turtles, hawks, porcupines, bats, snakes, fish, salamanders, and plants. These experiences influence my artwork. Nature, mythology, and the emotions we face every day inspire my writing. I love reading books aloud to my son. It is so amazing when a book transcends its pages and becomes a song that delights the reader’s ears as much as their eyes.

I began this journey by writing and illustrating books my son would love. Then, I started to write stories that would educate and entertain children. I write stories with a science lesson woven into an entertaining, whimsical tale. I love creating stories that entertain and educate both children and caregivers.

When I’m not typing on my computer or drawing in my sketchbook, I’m playing with my son. We’re usually outside, getting muddy or discovering new plants and creatures.
